Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -12°C and sunny. I do hope this is the last minus double digit morning, I'm ready to garden! I'm potting up some bulbs indoors this morning to get my fingers dirty. Not sure yet what the afternoon holds, I guess it all depends on how warm it gets outside. Have a great day all :)

Happy Tuesday morning. A little fog this morning but it's rapidly disappearing. Temps from upper 50s to low 80s and sunny. Come on sun... do your job and dry up some of this water so I can finally get my mulch spread! (and if anyone reminds me I said anything about this when summertime comes and I'm praying for rain... I'll deny it!)

Good morning all. Drying up quickly around here.
Last weekend we were wandering around north/east Texas and almost everywhere you look were new ponds, old livestock tanks full and spilling over, puddles everywhere.......NOW I know where the rain promised for my area actually went the last month.

I put off getting out in the yard yesterday to get caught up on laundry from the weekend but today I will have to get outside way too many things just sitting and waiting . Except the heat and dryness of summer, that won't wait on me to be ready for it.

Good morning to you all, and Toni, I'd love to send you some of our moisture. We are trying to get the yards mowed today before the rains hit tomorrow. I managed to get some of the asparagus bed weeded, but the center row was just too boggy to mess with. I've been weeding perimeters of the flower beds--again too wet to wade in (literally) and compact the soil.
Darling husband is out weed-whacking, and I'll be hauling grass clippings to the chicken coop as soon as it's dry enough to mow.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny. This is most likely the calm before the storm as Environment Canada is predicting a freezing rain event this afternoon into the evening. I do hope there are no power outages or tree loss as a result!
Continuing the spring cleanup today, hoping to get a few of the windows done inside and out. I hate cleaning windows so if that gets done it will be a miracle! Have a great day all :)

Dooley, very happy to hear your moving trip went well and safely. Rest up, move in, get somewhat settled then start showing us photos of your new digs.

Good morning all. Another 80+ day in store for us and it's beginning to look a lot like March for a change. A combination package of a Cool front from the northwest behind a Dry Line pushing against the very warm humid air already here and we could have anything from nothing to hail, high winds, heavy rain and slight chance of tornadoes tonight (depending on how warm it is when this all moves across us). Looks like, for the first time in at least two years, there is a possibility Randy will be called out to do some storm spotting later this evening.
Temps will be dropping back to the 60's for tomorrow. I am looking forward to that to give my very sore back muscles a chance to rest.

Happy Wednesday morning. A little patchy fog this morning. Temps will probably get up to the lower 80s again with lots of sunshine. Rain expected tomorrow morning.
Going over to a friend's for dinner tonight... that will be fun. And I get the chance to see how her gardens are shaping up this spring.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 1°C and overcast. The ground is wet, the snow is melting and my sump pump has FINALLY started working. I was getting a little concerned about where all the water was going as the sump pump is usually working overtime by now. I am so glad to see that the water table is finally where it is supposed to be! Off to do my errands and shopping this morning, have a great day all :)

Happy Thursday morning. Rainy start to the day but it's not supposed to last long. But will get windy this afternoon and kinda cool overnight with temps in the upper 40s. But the weekend is going to be sunny and warm! :smt026
I may have to help pass out flyers in town tomorrow morning, but other than that, I will spreading my mulch... no matter if I have to wheel-barrow it to the back.

Good morning all. There is a big difference in our weather when the heat cap is on top of our area. It came early this year and was strong enough to keep any and all rain from happening here last night. The cold front, on the other hand, was strong enough to move it off so we have overcast, windy and much cooler weather but nary a drop of rain.

Think I will take advantage of the coolness and clean up my part of the back room.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -5°C and overcast. The north wind is very chilly today! Well, tonight is dress rehearsal for my daughters skating carnival tomorrow, and so we have to be on the ice by 5pm. The carnival the the clubs grand finale of the season and so I get 2 of my 3 nights a week back. Monday nights will still be skating until May 25th, after which time soccer season begins and I lose my tuesday, wednesday and thursday nights. What I do for my childrens sports! Today, I am doing all the fun household chores like laundry and vacuuming. I lead such a glamorous life! Have a great day all :)

Netty, one of a Mom's greatest highlights in motherhood is when a child gets their drivers license and and take themselves to all their activities ....how long till you daughter gets hers?

Good morning all. I really do not know why I am up right now but my internal (infernal) alarm clock has been waking me up before 8 a.m. every morning this week and I am really tired of it. I think I must have reminded myself to get up at 8 on Saturday because our PBS station has finally ended their month long pledge drive which means the good programs will be back on tomorrow morning and my I.A.C. has been getting me used to getting up so I won't miss them. And there is the fact that the temperatures are really warming up now and I have to be outside early in the mornings to beat the heat. I guess my Internal Alarm Clock is just doing me a favor. :suspicious:

Today will include a couple of trips to Lowe's ... I need two more fence panels and a can of stain, mulch, potting soil, compost an a couple of large pots to plant the caterpillar plants in. Oh, and a new soaker hose for the north bed. Next week is going to be a busy one for me.
