Good Saturday morning all. Currently 7°c and sunny. Lots to do today ... baking for tomorrows pot luck luncheon, cleaning, laundry, banking, and of course some time out in the veggie garden. Got to get those peas planted! I'm also working on a rock garden so I need to find about 10 more rocks. I'm going to be BUSY! Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Surprise, surprise, we got rain last night. Just over 1 inch in the gauge and very welcome.

Got the youngest grandson all set up with a black suit and vest, black shirt and a wild Jerry Garcia tie in swirls of purple, pink, red and blue. His date is wearing a pale pink dress but we couldn't find any shirts that color, we think this combo will be very acceptable for him. He has major bragging rights now, she is a Junior and he is a Freshman, but since they have been friends for a while they are more like brother and sister.....his friends are so jealous.

Happy Saturday morning. We got approx 1.75 inches of rain yesterday. And its not so welcome. quack quack!
There will be no mowing for me this weekend... maybe it'll be dry enough by next weekend. About all I can do out there now is pull weeds.
There's a Zydeco dance at the church tonight... so I'll be over there from around 4pm to 2am.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 3°C and sunny. I didn't get any work done in the veggie patch yesterday as it was still too wet, but I did get the garden shed partially cleaned out. Also raked the lawns and got the rain barrels put out, seeds sorted, trees pruned and lawn mowers out. Today it is off to the skating pot luck and awards luncheon. Hopefully a bit of time left to spend in the yard. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Last night we had an old fashioned Spring storm...minus tornadoes. Very strong winds 50-90 mph in some areas, heavy rain and lightning.....mostly across the southern portion of Ft. Worth and Dallas. We got high wind but didn't lose power and nothing got blown down....there is 3/4ths of an inch in the rain gauge.

Today our oldest daughter might be meeting us for breakfast and we will get to hear all about the prom our youngest grandson went to last night. She is working on her Master's Degree and doesn't have a whole lot of free time for the next year....but she has to eat so maybe she will be able to go.

Good Monday morning all. Currently 6°C and raining with very gusty, strong east winds. Battled the wind to walk the dog and discovered a tree had fallen across the road. Dragged it out of the way so that the school bus could get through, I'm sure my daughter will be thrilled with that :smt089 Off to work, not sure for how long due to bad weather. I also want to mention that my daughter won 'top junior skater' at the potluck luncheon yesterday! So proud of her. Have a great day all :)

Happy Monday morning. Sunday was sunny and hot (almost 90F), that is until around 6pm when clouds moved in. There were tornado warnings in the area. Some places got hail. All I got was about 1/8th of rain.
And cooler temps today, it was in the low 60s this morning and the high is only supposed to be in the low 80s.

It's been raining here since during the night. We went out walking twice today in the light rain. We didn't even get much wet. It's such a spotty rain. But, not much sun either. One more day of rain before it clears up but temps in the upper 40's for the next seven days. After the upper 60's/70's last week it does feel cold. We go out and walk every day but haven't had to walk in really bad weather, no snow even. Better not say that too loud.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 6°C and overcast with passing showers. It's not going to be a nice day for working outside today, or for the rest of the week for that matter. I think I saw snow in the forecast for Thursday. One can always tell the week that I go back to work by the horrible weather :smt087 Have a great day all!

Happy Tuesday morning. It was nice and cool yesterday, temps never made it to 80F. I think today will be a little warmer. And there's only slight chances of rain over the next few days. I'm hoping I can at least try to mow this evening after work... maybe just the front. The back seems to hold more water. The pasture is out of the question.

Good morning all. Boy was the weather man wrong last night....he said no rain, just sunny and warming up today. The workers were out laying more forms for concrete to finish off the driveway entrances across the street when the rumbles of thunder turned in great clashes of thunder and then the rain came....not a person in sight out there now, But it must have been coming down sideways, puddles in the garden and street gutter but nary a drop in the rain gauges. Still some rumbles and sprinkles but radar shows it moving off quickly. So far I am loving April this year.

Good Wednesday morning all. Happy Earth Day! Currently 3°C and overcast, with a dark cloud looming on the horizon. I got caught outside in three hail storms yesterday ... it wasn't fun! Today there is actually snow in the forecast so I may just have an early day. Have a great day all :)

I'm getting the day started early today. It's cloudy with a chance of wintery mix. We are going out to the Senior Center today for lunch and a Writer's Group meeting. Since we'll just walk to the bus stop I hope it's between showers or whatever comes down toward us. It's only 31 degrees with a high predicted of 42 degrees. Guess I'll put on a sweater and my winter coat again today.
