    I wonder what took the bite out of its right wing? I wonder if it affects its flying ability? Thanks for sharing Sherry!

    Frank...I have heard that birds can do this to the butterflys, I am not sure if they are tasting them or trying to eat them or just trying to move them out of the way. I know Monarchs eat something and it makes them taste bad. I am not sure if it is the butterfly weed or not.

    I have noticed the butterflys seem more active this year and it is hard to sneak up on them...it seems like they can hear or see you sneaking up on them....
