My wonderful (and clever) husband bought me a mini food processor last year. I can't imagine living without it! I use it to mince herbs, cut up onions (no more tears), and to mix herbal butters, among other things.
What piece of kitchen equipment can't you live without?

    dr says--refrigerator. LOL

The one I use most often is the Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker. We drink a lot of iced tea in the summer, well, all year around.

My mixer that kneads bread dough.
My smoothie blender also gets a lot of use.

Several iterations of this must have item have come and gone. It gets used every day, it is the first thing I turn on each morning, the coffee maker brews the steamy black liquid that starts my day.

Oh, I posted what I use the most. What I wouldn't want to do without are my chopping block/cutting boards and the rack of sharp knives. We chop everything by hand.

I need my mixer for bread, my Warther,s knives( locally handcrafted knives, check out their museum on the web, Warthers.com or org., I suppose. It's definitely a museum to visit if you have the opportunity), wooden spoons and heavy pans.

My original Osterizer blender from the 1950's is probably my most used kitchen item. I also have two old, wooden hand-crank coffee grinders that I use a lot for grinding spices.I have my grandmother's cast-iron "spider" or Dutch Oven and my mom's cast iron bowl with a bail handle & her Magnalite biscuit pan. I really don't use the spider & bowl that often, but I use momma's biscuit pan all the time.

You are right Luvdirtyhands1, sometimes when I cook she must be in the kitchen because I do not know where is what and what is where :):D

Since I first posted, I've acquired a cast iron grill that I use on the stove. How did I manage for so many years without one!!!
I love it for grilling fish, steaks, chicken breasts, veggies--I'd grill cake if I could. It took a while to season, but now that it is properly seasoned I can clean it with a quick wipe with a paper towel.
It's heavy, so I just consider lifting it as my exercise for the day!:setc_070:

My 'must haves'? I'll start with my very old wall mounted can opener with a handle that will open any size can, the Bunn coffee pot that gives me coffee almost instantly, the 7 quart slow cooker, the Oster Kitchen center with all the attachments--Mix, slice, grate, shred, mixes even bread, the large round bacon press that keeps my bacon flat and crisp, and most of all, Mike that keeps all my knives extra sharp and loves my cooking...even if it's frozen pizza! :);)

My coffee maker, cast iron pans, and my pressure canner are definitely my most used items.
