I just had to share this pic of a huge weeping Willow that is in a yard on my way to see my Mom. The color is so limey I just love it.

Those types of trees really have character.
    This one looks especially lovely.

Thank you everyone. Every time I drive by it I am in awe. Plus it has such a lime green color. I love lime green. The only drawback on these trees is that they are really messy. They shed all of their tine branch's every fall.

Back in the 50`s and 60`s weeping willow and mimosa were popular landscape trees. I love both regardless of the mess. Let the leaves fall,, our Texas wind will clean the lawn.
Is that a fir tree next to it ? It should be the next White House Christmas Tree.

Droopy I do not think I will be able to do that as it is in some else's yard. But I do tell it that it is a magnificent tree.

Mart willows are still used around here as landscape trees for their beauty. Yes, that is a Spruce tree next to it. It would make a super Christmas tree. Not sure if the folks who own it would want to cut it down. But that was a great idea.

Netty---Thank you for saying so. I didn't pay much attention to the Spruce until several folks have mentioned how beautiful it was also. It is quite a large one. Here in Wisconsin they are not a native tree and are under attack by two different fungus's. I believe one is called "Needle Cast". They start looking their needles on the branches starting at the trunk and working it's way outward. A few years ago we had to cut a 25ft one down in our front yard that was diseased and burn the branch's. Otherwise it could spread to other Spruces in the area.

Willow grow pretty quickly but from the size of the trunk I would guess a good 30+ years old at least.
