Cool today, last I looked was 57 F. At last gardening has begun! :DPlanted 386 new strawberry seedlings. These I grew myself this winter. Yesterday I planted winter squash, cucumber and a few peas. More peas to put in today (about 90 feet) plus corn, beets and beans with more vegetables to be planted throughout the week. My 3 gardens are large so it takes me awhile to get everything in. I can just do so much a day because of arthritis. Now off to bake a cake before I head out side. Have a great day everyone.:flower:

Good Friday morning all. Currently 10 degrees C and humid. We are in for a scorcher today, with a high of 30 degrees C today. This will most likely start some thunderstorms. We did get a bit of rain yesterday, but we need a good soaking. I went to see my new puppy yesterday! Still a few weeks before I can bring him home, but I wanted to see him again because they change so fast at this age. In the afternoon, I took my youngest for her skating skills test, which she passed with flying colors! Off to work to continue the spring planting. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Rained overnight and is raining again this morning....but only 3/4th of an inch in the gauge. It's that time of the year when the amounts get smaller and don't add up to much during the month. But I have loved this Spring!!
Got another new garden area set up yesterday, it's one that I have been thinking about for a few years and finally got it done. Need to buy some Ferns for it and eventually get the rain barrel attached to gutters which haven't been installed yet.
Also need to take photos of the junque I brought home on Wednesday too.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 21°C and overcast. We are in for a scorcher today, with highs expected to hit 30°C. That's just too hot for May! I have been holding off planting my annuals until we get some rain, so I hope we get some today. The ground is SO dry! I decided to give my youngest daughter her birthday present early - her birthday isn't until July 16th - but I already bought it and I'd rather she be using it. Gardening in the forecast a little later. Have a great day all :)

    Goood mornin....

Its the weekend so I'm up before the sun as usual......comes up in about 12 mins so I might watch it. Its been a while since I stood still...
Rained a lil here last night so that will make it a bit easier to dig some holes today. Got to plant some jiffy pod seedlings too.

    Have a good one!

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 21°C and hazy. Another record breaker today, and still no rain.I don't want to plant my annuals until we get some rain!
Made my daughter so happy yesterday, by giving her an early birthday gift of a trampoline! I guess she will spend the day jumping today, while I try to get some weeding done in the gardens. Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently 15 degrees C and clear. The storms that I was needing yesterday didn't happen and so the ground remains super dry. I guess I won't be planting my annuals today after all. Off to work, a day of dragging hoses is most likely in order today. Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Netty, hope you get some rain soon, we have had more in late May this year then in the past few. Typically the great water faucet in the sky was shut off and locked down by mid-May so it's been a really nice late Spring for a change.

Our oldest grandson will be here in about an hour to be our "hired hand" for the day. He has an anniversary coming up and no money....we have some chores we can not do alone so it's a good fit.

Good morning! We just got home from the Memorial Day parade here in Oshkosh, Wis. It wasn't a huge parade. In fact, it wasn't called a parade, but a procession. Mostly marching veteran's groups and school bands. Our grandson was marching with a Boy Scout group. No other plans for today that I know about. dooley

Husband is cleaning our mowing equipment, I'm soaking mesquite chunks to smoke pork ribs for dinner, and the chickens are back in their regular coop with outside egress. Maybe now they'll stop squawking at us when we are in the barn! Life in central Texas is getting back to normal.
We had rain early this morning, but now the sun is shining and the rest of the day promises to be lovely.

Good Tuesday morning all. currently 12 degrees and clear. The humidity is finally gone, and the temperature back to 'normal', but still no rain here. Strangest spring I can remember! The first of my garden beans have sprouted, and the peas are knee high. I've already had the first few pickings of spinach, and I've eaten more asperagus than any one girl should have! I LOVE this time of year! Have a great day all :)

Good morning all! It's sunny as anything here with temperatures into the 20's. We are promised at least another week of this fine weather. Hard to believe it is like this now after the miserable and very wet winter we had. For me this is too warm but I won't complain for fear that someone will overhear :D
    Have a top Tuesday all!

Good morning all. I thought I might be outside working today but I am beginning to think that every other day is sufficient....for me, but maybe the plants don't particularly think so.
Grandson got the H*** strip section looking really nice, need to get a couple more bags of rocks, he will be back this weekend to put them down and create a brick border. He is very artistic and had a good eye for how to put the pavers in for maximum use and also to look really good.

Today is floor cleaning day, there are some corners where composting has already begun

Hi all. 82º and partly sunny. Pretty humid. Went to my chiropractor this morning, and got to see a fox on my way there! Beautiful animals.

Went by Menards and Lowe's searching for certain plants. All I found was a Little Bluestem grass, though it wasn't what I was looking for. It'll work in the area I want a grass though. Planted it when I got home. Then I fixed up my bike a little (brushed off webs and spiders, sprayed WD40 and aired up the tires) and took her out for a spin. Made it once around the block before I had to quit. My thighs were burning *lol* I was also sweating like crazy, so now Im chilling and rewatching Star Trek: Enterprise.
