This is a good book for the Northwest flowers. Published by Hancock and is one of three, the others are dry land and the mountains. Not expensive. Eileen has a copy:like:

My friend in Alaska has been posting photos of Alaskan Fireweed on my facebook page. Have you seen it before? I love, love, love it!!! I might have to find this book and see if they have a photo of it

The fireweed is in the book, page 62. I was the Editor and have about 125 pictures in it. My real name is on the cover, in the middle. I sent Eileen a copy.

I bought some seed off of ebay, I hope it grows for me! My friend told me that it is said when the blossoms are all the way up the stock that summer is over :(

That's a very good deal. It should be great for your area. I enjoyed working on it.

My beloved columbine and fireweed are only 1 page apart! Definitely a keeper that I plan to take with me when we go camping ;)
