    Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 12°C and clear. We had some rain yesterday, which was much needed. It is really feeling like fall here, and the nights are cool and I just love snuggling up in my flannel sheets with the cool breeze blowing in my window. It makes for a good sleep! Realized last night that we will have to say a speech at the wedding and so now I am struggling to come up with something to say. I don't like public speaking! Off to work, have a great day all :)

    Netty, just say that you make things grow, and one of the best things you have ever grown is your lovely, loving daughter. I guarantee there won't be a dry eye in the house!
    It's in the 60's here and overcast. I think this is a pruning day, and deadheading the roses if my "oomph" doesn't fade!

    Good afternoon all. I actually worked in the yard this morning. Just taking pecan twigs and limbs to the curb for trash pickup tomorrow but I was outside working and not wanting to collapse in the heat!!!
    Will definitely try that again tomorrow for a little while longer. Maybe the backyard next time. While I was taking care of Midnight in August I could look over my yard from the neighbors vantage point.....it was NOT a pretty sight.

    Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 10°C and cloudy. It is very dark when I get up for work now, in fact it is still dark when I GET to work now! We may have to start later next week.
    A busy day yesterday, and another busy day ahead today. . I forgot I had volunteered to help with skating registration tonight, so I have to rush home again.I still haven't had time to write up a speech, but at least I have a few ideas of what to say now. A few more days and all the rushing around for the wedding will be over. The following weekend is our Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and then fall cleanup at work. Where has the year gone?

    Good Thursday morning all. Currently 10°C and windy. The wind is from the east, and so I think we are in for 3 or 4 days of wind and rain. It isn't raining yet, but it should start later this morning. We really NEED rain, but what a time for a 3 day rain event! Off to work, to race against the rain. Have a great day all :)

    Good morning all. Didn't make it outside yesterday, too muggy and the temp warmed up quickly....but today is supposed to be only in the upper 70's later this afternoon so I am heading out to transplant some Iris.
    I have been going through my knitting patterns for gift ideas (less than 3 months till christmas) and decided to make reading shawls for both daughters and grandson's girl friend. Each will have a Half-priced Books gift card, a box of flavored coffee and some chocolates in their pockets to make their reading in bed really comfy.

    Good Friday morning all. Currently 12°C and overcast. I have the day off today, the day before the wedding. I am taking youngest daughter and we are heading to the salon for our first EVER manicure! I have painstaking worn gloves at work for the entire week trying to keep my hands and nails clean - a not so easy feat for a gardener! We will then head to the mall and pick up a few last minute things and then rehearsal tonight and decorating. In just 2 days it will all be over! Have a great day all :)

    Good Monday morning all. Currently 10°C and cloudy. I was so tired from the past few days events and slept like a rock last night. I could have slept longer, but I feel OK for work today.
    The wedding was wonderful and Mother Nature gave us a break from the rain. The newly weds are off to St. Lucia for a week, and my son is house/dog sitting for them.
    I am off to work, where a week of fall decorating is ahead. Have a great day all :)

    Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 11°C and cloudy. It is very dark in the morning now!
    It was a late night - skating started last night- and so I am back to feeling very tired today. Off to work, where fall decorating will begin, as well as fall cleanup.

    Morning all. Not much going on here. Its Chiropractor Tuesday, so Im waiting my turn, then I have to go buy a new shower head, as ours busted this morning in the middle of my shower :eek:
    I also want to clean the kitchen and vacuum the floor. We want to try to get the house clean before we go on vacation! :)

    Good morning all. Had a great day with Randy's folks on Sunday, his mom mentioned as we left that she was surprised at how quickly those 65 years had gone and that they had made it that long....but she said it with a twinkle in her eyes and a smile.

    Yesterday I did almost nothing, being with people for several hours really wears on me so I need my alone time afterwards. I slept late this morning and missed the opportunity of good gardening temperature so I guess I will finish the laundry I didn't get done yesterday.

    Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. I slept well last night, and ALMOST feel caught up with my sleep. I really don't do well with little sleep!
    Fall decorating continues today at work, and some fall cleanup. There is also a wedding this weekend, so we need to make everything pretty.
    My ice skating class starts tonight, and I am looking forward to it. Have a great day all :)

    Good Friday morning and TGIF! Finally Friday, my busiest day this week with the finishing touches going on my Thanksgiving display's at work for our long weekend. I will also be spending part of the day at the pumpkin patch picking pumpkins for the guests to carve. This activity is a huge hit each year and 40 pumpkins will be needed. Should make for an interesting day! Have a great day all :)
