Hi I have had a pest problem on my houseplants that i simply cannot get rid of. I tried solving it with natural methods and chemical methods and still can't get rid of them. I was wondering could i simply remove the plants from there pots and wash all of the pests off of them and then sterilize the pot and soil? Also the soil from the pots have perlite, is it dangerous to heat it to 180 degrees Fahrenheit?
    thanks

Personally I would wash off the plants, throw away the old soil, wash the pots with hot soapy bleach and water and use fresh soil to replant them?

    You could try Floramite.

I too, am wondering what pests you're dealing with, and what kind of plants? You must ID your pest before you begin management
If I had this trouble, I would probably re pot, using new potting mix. Also inspect plant and clean with soapy water spray first, then if need be resort to chemicals.
