You know it's really dry when you walk across the yard & even the weeds are crispy!

We had a pretty wet spring, but our weather has reverted to "normal" now--no rain and not even much dew in the morning. By mid-July, car dealerships will be offering windshield wipers as an option on new cars.

Living in Scotland I don't think I've ever seen a crispy weed. :(

Nah...I think I'll pass on your kind offer. Although come to think of it I'd rather have crispy weeds than the rampant ones I have here.

Eileen, now lets just stop & think about this for a minute. I think we can all agree that weeds thrive everywhere. Now think about how dry it must be to turn said weeds into crispies. Do you seriously want those conditions there where you live:smt021

I think I'll stick with Scottish weather after all. There are some 'weeds' that I allow to grow in the garden for the butterflies and bees. I don't think they'd appreciate crispies do you?

Eileen, very wise decision. I truely envy you how green it must be there.
I'm an old Minnesota transplant myself. I miss the green..... but not the horrible humidity they get up there. The mosquitoes that will eat you alive. I sure h*ll don't miss the winters with weeks of sub-zero tempatures. No, as bad as it is right now (super dry) I will keep what I got right here. Hey, our monsoon season starts next month :smt041:sete_056::smt041

I don't have that problem where I am. Much rain and more expected for the rest of the week. The humidity is crazy and the toms are trying their best.
