The Good Day All Thread

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 9°C and cloudy. I'm dragging my feet a little today ... I was up late at a meeting for the skating club last night.
Tonight is my daughters graduation! This is the last child of mine to graduate from the public school they have been attending since 2003. It should be a fun night!
But first, my work day to get through. Have a great day all

congrats Netty. my youngest graduated from college this year... wowsers! I have a totally different daughter, too. I loved her before with all my heart but she was tetchy at times... now she is really sweet and "unstressed".

 

Netty, congratulations all around--for raising your daughter right, and to her for completing high school! Enjoy the ceremony, and you have my permission to shed a tear or two, or cheer, whichever.

 

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 11°C and raining. Again.
The graduation ceremony was lovely. My daughter received recognition for being on the honour roll, and also received awards for English and Art. I am a very proud Mom
Today, its back to reality and back to work. Won't be doing any watering though.

Netty, you have every right to be a very proud Mom, and your daughter should be proud of her accomplishments, too. Congratulations all around!
Today is my drop off vegetables, go to the feed store, get groceries day. After that whirlwind of social activity I'll come home, fix lunch, and then quietly collapse.

Good Friday morning all. Currently 19°C and overcast. It is very humid and muggy too... from all the rain.
Friday couldn't come quick enough for me and its been a long week. Just one more day to get through and I'll be able to sleep in.
Lots of work to do today, I hope the rain holds off.

I guess I will be baking today as it is raining. has been since last night. we really needed the rain and next week is supposed to be hot again.

 

Netty....Friday evenings have long been my favorite night of the week, knowing the work week is behind me and I have the option of sleeping in the next morning.

Carolyn if you are getting rain today in Ohio, that usually means we ( in MA) will be getting it some time soon (within a day or two).

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 21°C and humid. Weatherman calls for rain later. Today is Canada Day, and a holiday so no stores are open today.
Reading back through the comments above just now, thought I should clarify that my daughter has just graduated from 8th grade. She will be moving on to high school this fall and has 4 more years of school ahead of her. Lets not rush ... I'm feeling old enough as it is HAHA
Hopefully some time in the gardens today or the weeds will take over. Have a great day all

 

Good Monday morning all. Currently 19°C and overcast. We had some more rain overnight, but it should be clear skies today. I managed to get my back garden weeded yesterday, as well as a few plants removed and a few transplanted. A girl only needs so much Globe Thistle in her garden, and I'm not sure what I was thinking when I put in the knapweed! I moved a Veronica that was getting taken over by Phlox to it's place and added a few annuals. I had a great day out there yesterday! Today, I'm going to work. I'll have my long weekend next weekend. Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear skies. We managed to get through the entire day yesterday without any rain!!
Hopefully this sunshine helps some of my plants perk up a little. Off to work, where it will be a day of weeding and mulching. Have a great day all
