@Sjoerd , I have no idea if my leeks are summer or winter leeks. I don't recall seeing that on the label. I might have some sprouting if it is not grass pretending to be some leeks?

I did absolutely NOTHING in my garden today. :( I have been fighting with my new phone trying to set up my email accounts, and have been locked out of them. I use my valid email addresses, and my VALID passwords and still got blocked from them for using "wrong passwords". I have been on the phone multiple times trying to get help, and trying to set up new passwords because they REFUSE to allow my VALID passwords. The techs were nice enough, they just cannot fix the problem/s with my phone. I did not even get a chance to clean up doggy-do. They email provider will not accept feedback or give help unless I have a PAID account.... grrrrr... The change password thing also refuses all of my ideas for a new password....

I DID get some of my rough areas mowed yesterday. My neighbor worked on the push mower, and got most of it fixed. I had to re-order the carburetor because the new one does not work properly. They are calling for rain the next few days, so likely I won't get to do more mowing until next week.

I did notice that some seeds are beginning to sprout: zinnias, marigolds, cosmos, dill, and ?

hope you all had a good day.

Pulled up all of the wallflower plants, cut them up a bit and put them in the compost bins.

Planted out some Geraniums in the raised patio borders.
Debating whether or not to ditch some of the older Wallflowers as they're a bit gnarled looking now despite having had a good trim up. I do have several trays of seedlings coming on brilliantly but I just can't resist striking up some cuttings from all the trimmings.......the temptation was too great to resist.:D

@Oreti , and whoever growing coleus:

A friend told me that if I let my coleus go to seed in the fall (outdoors), it would come back in the spring. It sure does! Not only that, but it comes up everywhere, even out in the pasture. I found out that coleus is in the mint family, and can be invasive. I have it in many places where I never planted it. I am not sure that my horse likes it? I tried pulling it up last fall, but there was so much, and it had all gone to seed. It has a strong scent also.

I guess if you pinch off any blooms before it goes to seed, maybe that will help? Mine got over feet tall. I gave loads of it away to a friend who thought she wanted it.

I finally got my phone problem solved with help from an Apple tech today. I am very thankful.

It rained most of the day, but during a lull in the rain, I was able to get out and fix up a tub for my sweet potatoes and plant them. I had a bunch of tiny ones from last year and planted them. I also cleaned up after my dogs too. At least I got something done in my garden.

A lot of seeds are sprouting, hopefully they are all things that I planted.

@AAnightowl I've grown it many times......just not in the quantity I have this year:smt044 !!
They are just like annuals over here unless you can overwinter them indoors/ undercover. They can also be grown as houseplants....I will probably treat a couple as houseplants....much to my hubs delight as he thinks we have too many now..:D

Did some weeding along the path in the front garden, picked up a lot of slugs and threw them far away from us.

@Oreti , we get plenty of winter here, even below zero at times. It did not deter them one bit. I have had them as houseplants and thought they would die outdoors in the winter. They do die back in frost, but still come back in the spring anyway.

I meant to say that they got over 3 feet tall above.
