This Holly Hock just seems to keep on growing, and growing, and growing. I have never had on quite this tall. All of the plants I have growing in the same area are really tall also. So it must be something in the soil.
I knowI got the seeds from one of our Stewbies. But I misplaced their name. Any way here are a few pic's of it.

It measures 4ft. from the ground up to the top of deck. Then from the top of the deck it is 8ft. tall. The next pic is of the flowers it has. I will be saving seeds if anyone is interested.

Did I send those to you? Captain Kirk sent me seeds one year and they were GIANT! Let me see if I can retrieve one of my pictures of them:)

Strats-I think you did send me those seeds. Thank you. Funny how these seeds get around and find new homes in Stewbie gardens.

Ronni--you are so funny. No jack yet trying to climb it. But it is still growing and blooming.

Purple--Thank you. I never dreamed that it would reach such heights.

Funny you would mention how Stewbie seeds travel the country :) GlendAnn gave me some peony poppy seeds years ago and I just mailed some to Mary in MA.

They are fantastic! Did you feed them something special? Or is it just your green thumb!

Strats-isn't it fun to see where our seeds travel to.

20fus-I really didn't do to much to that corner of the garden. I did put some composted manure on it in the spring. I guess that was what got things off to such a fantastic start.

I called and gave Jack , he plans on checking you out next year Tooty2shoes...he might be able to see it and find you that way...I have never had any luck with morning glory seeds...It sure is a pretty one. Most of the time the chipmunks and squirrels would get the young sprouts so I just gave up.

Opps Sherry. It's not a morning glory, it's a Holly Hock. I'm with you on the Morning Glories. I just can't get those little buggers to grow for me either. I've nicked the seed, soaked the seed, planted it direct and all I get a pathetic looking plant that doesn't bloom or nothing. Oh well. I'll take Holly hocks over those any day.

Don't you just lurve it when plants perform above expectation!
This is a great foto and a really outstanding hollyhock.
    Chapeau.

I will say that the flower that you showed here doesn't look like a double hollyhock bloom to me though. Well, let me say it doesn't look like the doubles that I have had. The ones that I had looked like roses with oodles of petals. It could be a different hybrid though.
Be all that as it may--it remains a gorgeous flower.
