Big vs. little

    Our hens are laying eggs nicely, but some of the younger ones are just catching on. Here is a comparison between an "experienced" new hen, and one that is just starting:

    We gave the hen that laid the little, tiny egg a gold star, a trophy, and a "Gooooddd Jobbb!" because she tried really, really hard. Wouldn't want to warp her id!

    LOL !! Those pullets will catch up eventually. Just takes a lot of those marble size eggs for an "over easy" breakfast !

    Darn it I meant to take a picture of one of the eggs we got from the farm. It wasn't the usual looking egg it was much longer and thinner - reminded me of an airship in shape.

    I absolutely love farm fresh eggs. Used to have chickens and the ladies always outdid themselves. Am thinking how to get a few ladies back but have to set up a coop and run first ... Definitely farm fresh is to die for :)
