That looks like a fuchsia plant. some are long and skinny others are very plump looking flowers. It may be a non-hybrid variety. I had one a neighbor gave me last year that had very similar flowers on it and looked rather "weedy". they had kept it in the greenhouse for years and years. One of the only non hybrid varieties around, she said. Yours has much prettier flowers on it.

It is so pretty - but unfortunately not in my garden. I took the picture in one of the public (parks) gardens I visited around town. Thanks for the id, Carolyn.

Could well be F.magellanica, which is the hardiest of the species. And yes that berry contains the seeds of the plant. The berry is edible by the way.

A very pretty fuchsia. If you take cuttings they, generally, root easily.

They look like mine. I am sorry mine are so blurry but I couldn't shut the fan off in the greenhouse. I call these old world Fuchsia.

I take cuttings every Fall. They do great.
