I made these rubarb leaves last year from portland cement & sand. I also made grape & hosta leaves.

These are the grape leaves I made last year. They came out real nice. I was going to make a few for myself and ended up with over 200, so I sold them at the area fair craft show.

    This a large rubarb leaf.

Those look great! My favorite is the middle one in the first picture. It looks SO real! I'll bet you sold lots at the craft show.

WOW!! Those are just beautiful, Karen!
I would have definitely bought several of them at a craft show.

I'd love to know all about your technique. [IMG]

Great I really like the grape ones myself. The colors are neat.

Looking very crafty Neshane. Any chance of a small tutorial for the crafting dummies among us?

Sure here are a couple of sites I have to learn to make leaves.
    http://www.concretegardenleaves.com/concrete-leaf.htm

    http://faq.gardenweb.com/faq/lists/acco ... 10311.html

I use dry wall tape instead of chicken wire to my large leaves. But I don't add anything to my small ones. I use Porland cement& fine sand about 3to1 mixture, thickness like cake batter.
For paint I use Patio paint, made by Decor art, I bought at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Then you can spray a sealer on it too.
I put my finished leaves inside on a stand up wire plate holder or out in my flower garden.
