Citronella plant

    If i bring my potted citronella plant inside will it survive until next spring?
    It's the first time i have grown one.

    Do you have the geranium -Pelargonium citrosum? You should be able to as long as they have a sunny window to sit in front of. Depending on how large yours is, you might want to pinch it back first. Then you could put the cuttings in pots and let them root over winter and have more plants in spring.

    I never thought bout the cuttings
    Thanks iwill try that. Have a perfect window. Few years back i grew geraniums from seed. It was gorgeous.
    That reminds me, I have been looking for geranium seeds if anyone has some to share. Only seen them once and that was about 6 years ago.

    DJM624, Burpee's normally has a packet of geranium seeds in their spring display. I have grown them several times and had some beautiful colors from them. I think they are called paintbox mix.

    I am not sure what citronella plant you have. Is it the Melissa officinalis or some other plant with a citrus-like aroma?
