Nashville was in the path of totality. It was crazy here!!! Watching parties everywhere, every air bnb booked, crazy traffic. Our local library was hosting a Watching Party, so I went there with Paige and William and the grandkids. It really was pretty amazing. Fun to watch the street lights come on as it got darker, hear the birds stop chirping, see everyone's reactions. When the eclipse reached totality, there were cheers and shouts and celebratory noises, and someone set off a firework or two. Waiting for it to happen: Photos from friends: Twilight, at 1.28 in the afternoon!
My husband and I were out in the orchard area watching the eclipse. We only had 72% coverage of the sun, but we were amazed and happy to see the eclipse. Below is a set of photos my husband took of what we saw--with a filter on his camera. We had the special glasses for watching. What a day!
We were at totality out of Salem Oregon. The totality happened closer to 10:30 AM for us. We were out in a rural area and were quite surprised when we heard hoots and hollers from people all around us. No one was inside and everyone was in awe.
