This is the evolution of what call the long bed in my garden I regret I don't have any pics of it before anything was done but wasn't thinking that far ahead :)

That looks great and like lots of hard work!!
We will forgive you for not having photos of the "way before" garden bed I have forgotten a few times too. But you will soon get the hang of making your camera an integral part of your gardening equipment.;)

You've picked some lovely plants for your new garden. I know it must have been back breaking work creating it but, oh boy, it was worth it!! :)

lol. We have excavating equipment... I do not know how the rest of you can garden without skidsteers and loaders... really, I can't. I just filled a skidsteer bucket with rocks from the part of the garden where I have beets and carrots this year and I didn't even get it all done. we had plans for the evening on Sat so I worked until 5:30 in the garden.... I still have piles of rocks to pick up that I raked up and now it has rained for two days.
your flower bed is looking good. it is a lot of work to get out the rocks and build up the bed .

Most of the plantable area around my house is full sun but being a lover of shade plants I had to get some area for them and I built this make shift planter around the side.
