Early months heat ...late months cold
    .morning cold..noon time hot..
    Rai, rain rain.
The seeds have not been having a good time. Makes nervous seedlings,

My peas are starting....my spinach is attempting life. Going to attempt red onions
Everything is in pots this year, too old to be on my knees.
A sad fatality of the fickle extra long winter weather is my beloved elephant ears.

Oh no! DMJ, I am sorry to hear your elephant ears did not make it. They must be marginally hardy where you are. I like the picture you have drawn re "nervous seedlings"!

I live in Greer South Carolina. It gets cold enough to snow here . Usually only a few inches a year. Hat,winter coat and gloves weather.(boots are very optional). We still harvest cool weather crops into November. By January you can plant some winter veggies gain. Here it is May and still cold nights hot days.
I think Mother Nature is going thru menopause!
But my blueberries are big and covered with netting.
Hopefully they won't ripen before I get back next week from Myrtle Beach.
But I am looking foreward to warming my "ROOTS" in the hot sand and salt water.

You are far ahead of me for spring. The snow drops are in full bloom and the early daffodils have just started. Hope to get out tomorrow and do some clean up. Last year due to shading out of part of my garden I had to move my veggie gardening area. Planted a lot of things in large pots. It was fairly successful. It would have been better if I hadn't gotten a little lazy on the watering. Made weeding so much easier though :D. I am sure your garden will do well.
