Today is the first official day of autumn, and we have several signs that fall is coming!
We had an Inca dove on our path to the barn--haven't seen an Inca in a couple of months.
The fall garden has green beans and argula sprouting. Cool season crops for us and ones we look forward to harvesting.
Our hens are staying in the outside coop longer--they go in when it gets warm and the sun hits the outside coop, so having our ladies out longer means they feel the weather is changing.
Our roses are beginning to fall bloom. I'll be taking bud vases into the local nursing home next week.
And I can mow the backyard without getting drippy wet from sweat--whoopee!

Leaves turning yellow here and the geese have been flocking and flying for a few weeks now

We haven't seen any V-forms of waterfowl flying over, but it's still early for geese and ducks to do that. We still have hummingbirds at the feeders, and are getting a few "scouts" of the migratory birds.
I'd imagine that you get lovely fall foliage. Our foliage changes colors, but it's rather subtle and not the amazing colors you most likely have. (That is a very strong hint for photos when you can manage to get them!).

Not many signs of fall here except for all the decor in stores xD

Fall is kind of depressing for me, because it means winter is closer and closer :( I like the colors and scents and sights of fall, but winter is sad.

I've noticed a few changes here too. The geese are all flying over going to their winter feeding grounds - a sure sign that autumn is here. Shorter daylight hours and a real drop in temperatures. Autumn cyclamen are flowering and the winter pansies are budding up.

Certainly doesn't feel like fall here. 95 today, the days here are still over 12 hours long and no rain in more than a month. If the weekend forecast falls through I am going to be really ticked-off at the weather guy. He is promising me day time temps in the low 80s and nights in the 60's starting Sunday .... he had better be right.

The leaves are changing color here, geese are flying past in 'v' form, the nights are cooler and the morning dew is thick. I haven't seen a hummingbird all week.
The Dollarama store I was in yesterday had not only fall and halloween decorations, but they also had a whole row of Christmas out!!

My Acer going red in parts.
    It's chilly in a morning.
    Loads of morning dew around.
