Hello, Checking in from little ol Prince Edward Island...a tiny Island in the Gulf of St Lawrence (on the east coast of Canada)

Recently purchased (last fall) a new home with 2 acres... a far cry from the 300 square feet of raised beds that was our last yard. Started by planting part of the orchard with 12 apple trees, 9 cherries, a couple of pears, a peach tree and rhubarb... planning likely that much again to complete the orchard this year as well as starting on the herb beds and small fruit (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes and black currents) and naturally the veggies.

So, needless to say, will be looking for lots of input and advice.

Here's hoping that you each have a great rest of the day, and even better tomorrows... just because YOU CAN.

This time a big welcome from Scotland J. It sounds as though you've made a great start on your orchard already. My youngest son would love what you're doing (and planning) as he's a vegan. He wouldn't be much help with harvesting though as he'd be helping himself to all your produce!!

Greetings from a different gulf. The big one way down south. I love hearing about gardens from up north and look forward to tales and pictures from your neck of the woods

From one islander too another. Welcome J. Wish I could say I have a wealth of knowledge in all things related to gardening. But I don't. I leave that up to the pros here.
