My husband built a raised bed for our garlic (he is such a good gardener!) and I planted cloves a week ago. We've had good rain since, and this morning I saw 1" garlic leaves popping up! I think I'll put in another row since there is no such thing as too much garlic.

great news Jane... Garlic. never too much either. so, plant another row. hopefully I will get mine in this week. nice fore cast coming up and I haven't had much time in the past 3 weeks to get it in either..today is yard day. cleaning up, picking up leaves, pulling plastic, burning weeds in the garden such as lambs quarter. had a healthy crop of that this year. ewww! fixing the lawn where we put in two new frost hydrants. lots to do, always.

Just as well you don't live near us as Ian would be at your door hoping for some of your garlic. He puts it in almost everything and swears that's why he's so fit and healthy.
