Great day with the birds.

    Had 17 species on the deck today and with the bushtits still to come, could have the high this winter. Here are four from todays showing, the White throated sparrow is rare here, haven't seen one for about three years.

    We have bird feeders out by the woods behind the house. We can see them from our window. dr keeps them filled with wild bird seed, black sunflower seed and suet cakes. We had snow yesterday and today I think every bird in this part of the state was visiting. There was even a big black crow eating from the ground under the feeder and I saw a couple of squirrels there, too. dooley

    Lovely pictures Kildale. Your birds are certainly more colourful than ours in Europe....or at least those that visit my feeders..
