    Hi,

Green Caterpillars eating holly bushes and swedish ivy!!! Tried insect spray that says safe for flower & vegetables, but they just keep eating and leaving behind desctruction as well as black excrement that stains my patio! Help - what can I use to save my shrubs and potted ivy?

    Thanks in advance!

Last year, I had a large infestation of little green caterpillars with black heads on a small Austrian pine, causing tons of browning and needle drop :'(
I used an empty fertilizing plastic bottle that hooks up to your garden hose.
It was filled with water and a big squirt of dish soap. It worked great :!:
The soapy mix killed them all on the first try.
Just make sure you get every inch of the plant)s) especially on the undersides. Spray until the plants are dripping wet :stew1:
