    Hello all!

I am here to try and figure out how to get these plants to actually grow.
I tried to grow some basil, parsley, rosemary and thyme from seeds and failed miserably.

I'm sure all you pros out there will be able to help me find my Green Thumb.

hi and welcome. Rosemary and parsley are two of the hardest for herbs to get started. Parsley likes it pretty cool and rosemay is just plain difficult. many unviable seeds to a packet. your best and easiest solution is to find really fresh seeds or take cuttings. use sterile potting mix too. otherwise you are defeating the process before you even get the seeds out of the packet. if you are scattering them in a row you need to plant many more than you need as many are killed off by fungi or eaten off by pests. basil and thyme should be easier but you still need fresh seeds. old ones won't do.

Hi there and welcome from Texas !! Take a tip,, Buy a few plants to start with ! Mid summer seeds are difficult to get going. May be easier if you start them inside to control the temperature. They do not need much sun until after germination and they have a couple of leaves. Rosemary can be rooted from cuttings but its so much easier just to buy woody plants !
