Had my first Red Admiral Butterfly...7/30

    Not many butterflys besides the small sulphurs this year so when I spotted this Red Admiral, I grabbed my camera right away...

    I'm still waiting to see my first Red Admiral this year. Hopefully some will appear in the next week or so.

    Seems butterflies are scarce everywhere this year.

    I agree Cheryl....it really bothers me that if something isn't done to help the butterflys, they will not be around in years to come...I guess not all people see the beauty in things like I do, I love nature and all of its creatures.

    Hi. Great pics. Have noticed in my own plot that the Cone Flowers are very popular with Butterflies - in my case particularly the Brimstones - these usually one of the first to appear where we are. Syd.
