So, Mimi is making a cherry dump cake, and wants sweetened or sugared pecans for the cake. The question is how best to get the pecans sweetened, or sugared?

Oh, Tom, please apologize to Mimi for me, I had the wrong name in the topic about where you and some others were...... :( :( :(

Anyway, I make Prissy Pecans at Christmas time.

    1/2 cup sugar
    3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    4 Tablespoons of water
1 1/2 cups pecans halves or parts

Combine everything in pan and bring to boil, boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly.
Spread pecans on wax paper, seperate pieces as they cool. The sugar mixture will harden as they cool, store in airtight container.

You can leave out the cinnamon if you just want sugared pecans.
