I know I'm not the only one here who's planning this season's garden. I'm not doing it very formally, and it's mostly in my head (I know there are those of you who do much more extensive planning) but still, I'm working it HARD mentally

I think about my gardens during the present, and always in the future too. It's a never ending thing, and there is never a garden as good as next years garden
No Sjoerd, its in my home town. Here you bid on properties to rent only, never bid to rent/buy unless we buy outright. K

I don't have very extensive gardens...it's actually my boyfriend's house where I do most of my work. And we're planning on buying another house sometime in the next couple of years and moving into it together, so I'm loath to put too much work into the gardens where he lives. So I've focused on making the back porch a special place to be, with a lot of plants and color and such. I've posted plenty of pics about it! That's really what I'm looking forward to more than anything else...bringing the back porch back to life. All the color and life has gone from it because I had to store most everything over the winter months. I want this back!!!
Thhat looks like a magazine pic ! Just curious but what do you do when it rains or I should say,,storms like it does here ? If I had one lime that I would never get to garden,,I would be cleaning dirt off for days.
Aww...thanks Mart. I think it's too much of a jumble of colors and styles to be magazine worthy, but Ed and I like it that way! As far as dirt goes, it's a covered porch, so I just made sure that the things the rain could mess up were tucked in far enough that they couldn't be reached...the glider with the pillows and throws, the carpet etc. Though the carpet is indoor/outdoor so it wouldn't have much mattered. I need to wipe stuff down and sweep from time to time, it does get dusty like anywhere. And when the lawn guys come, they're not always particular about those lawn clippings, so sometimes it needs an extra clean. Otherwise it's just not difficult to maintain. It's actually worse in the fall and winter...all the dead leaves blow onto the porch and pile up, and it makes me crazy even though we don't really use it in the cold months, so I have to get out there with the broom or blower or both and get rid of the leaf piles.
It may be Sjoerd that no one gets chosen till all refurbs are complete. Every home a tenant leaves gets a three week refurb. They said last week I was't bidding for any homes.
