Oh, yea, I have three of those in a pot of Oregano that are a surprise and I have been waiting to see what bloom they might produce. But if someone can ID them sooner that would be great!

Wanted to post an update. Still don't know what this is. I had put it in full sun a few weeks back. The stem now has some very dark purple/black (not sure what to call them) 'protrusions'. I have never seen anything like this before. Anybody know what this is?

I was thinking Turk's cap too :-D I have a couple and just love them!!!! The blossom is a beautiful orange, but don't get the pollen on your clothes because it will stain!!!

I have no idea what it is, but I just wanted to mention that if you get pollen from any kind of lily on your clothes or furniture, use a chenille stem/pipe cleaner to gently "brush" the pollen off the fabric. Usually you can get it all off if you don't rub it in. Just gently, did I mention, GENTLY brush it off. The pollen will stick to the chenille fibers and come off the fabric.

Excellent advice Carolyn!! After I read that I remembered they use pipe cleaners in the flower shop to "groom" the lilies. They gently brush off any extra pollen in the flower to make it just perfect :p

Deanna, that is precisely what we did to clean the pollen that had already dropped from the anthers and any that got on us. I forgot to mention that I bend the pipe cleaner in half, but don't fold it, just hold both ends in one hand so it looks like an oval. You don't want to poke a hole in the flower petal with the wire.

Yup I was right. Lily. Probably turk's cap. Not sure if there's only orange. Mine's all pink with freckles.
And those little black things are BULBILS.
Some will even grow roots and a small leaf right there on the mother-stem.

I hope your lily will bloom this year so we can all see the colour of it. I know I'm impatient to see it. :D

I've got white, pale yellow, pink with freckles, darker pink ones and have also seen reddish turk's cap lilies. The pink with freckles are the most common over here.
