I was feeding my two pet rabbits on Sunday morning When I turned around a hummingbird was almost in my face. I have two trellises with Grandpa Ott morning glories on them. Maybe he was checking out the morning glories, but I think he was telling me he was heading South for this year. I had one glimpse of him Monday morning. Last year they left on September 28. Monday was only September 18.
I believe I saw my last one earlier this week (dont remember the date). I took the feeder down the day after I saw the hummer to clean and refill it. Never got it refilled and havent seen any hummers wondering where their food went. Wondering if I should put it back out anyway for stragglers?
