    The Rufous was here a lot today so I put the camera to use. I don't like taking them with the feeders so it takes a little longer to get a decent shot.

    Well those are more than decent shots in my book!! Your patience has definitely paid off. I love the throat in close up - the feathers look like bronze and gold scales.

    Fantastic shots! We don't get the Rufous here, only the Ruby Throats. I love watching those little guys!

    What great photo's! And what a beautiful Hummingbird, the coloring is fantastic! I don't see many of them at this altitude but we do get Calliope hummers but I've never been able to capture any on camera.

    I love the pix. I don't know what kind of hummers we get in this part of Idaho. I don't think we have any Ruby Throated ones though.

    Wow! what a beautiful Image.

    Yes I do like Hummers but they don't come to the cold of North Lancashire no matter how much red I add to the garden lol
