Hi Jessie, welcome to GardenStew from north central Texas. How far south in our great state do you live? What kind of gardening are you interested in.....herbs, veggies, flowers, etc? Also we really like photos....of gardens to be, gardens being created....we are basically nosy ...but we would rather call it being interested in all things gardening.
Hi Jessie and a hearty welcome to GardenStew Nice to add another Texas member to our list. Do let us know about your gardening adventures

Hello I live in a very small town between San Antonio and Victoria Tex - a very small town, Nixon. Love all plants and anamials.
Hello. I am so new to all this. I don't really know what to do. I love plants and animals. African violets are my favorite plants.
Hi, and welcome from Idaho. I also love African violets though I don't have any now. Do you have other house plants? If you have any questions, ask away as there are some really knowledgeable people here to help.
Hello. I have a few orchids and 7 african violets. My nephew built me a stand with 3 shelves. Each one has two 48in. Florissant bulbs. Hoping some day to have it full of violets. A friend told me that some people have plants and they will send them or leaves for postage. Hoping to someday find out where to do this.
I think your friend may have been talking about this part of the site: http://www.gardenstew.com/forums/plant-and-seed-exchange.28/
Hi there from NE Texas. Looks like we have most of the state covered. If you are going to trade seeds and leaves from your African Violets,, Save the containers from the market that parsley, cilantro ect come in. They are perfect to ship the AV leaves in without damage. Just wrap the end in damp paper towel and close the plastic container.
Welcome from someone who did live in Texas. Now, I live in Wisconsin. Sure do miss our friends in Texas. dooley
