More canning to do. The other day we went to another market. We picked up about 50 grapefruits. We paid $12. for all of them. I was going to save the rind for freezing and jams, compotes and can the segments in lite syrup. I got tired and just squeezed all the grapefruit. Strained it and canned it. I got 6 quarts that my hubby can enjoy when he wants a change from orange juice. Simple but good. Squeezed, strained 2 times down to a screen size. Then packed hot juice in hot quarts and bwb for 15 minutes. Sealed beautifully. Small job but it sure was sticky. It was all natural, no sugar added. They were really ripe.
Yes it taste soo good with no sugar added. They were so so ripe. That's why I didn't have to add any sugar. Wish I could find more of that deal.
