Just wait until you taste your first strawberry. They are so delicious compared to store bought ones.
I can't wait Eileen. I looked at them this morn and another blossom is blooming..i would say that it's on now!
Congratulations!!!!! The only strawberries I can get to grow here are the wild ones and they do not taste very good.
Thanks Toni...i don't think I would be this successful if they were grown outside..lol..i can pay close attention to them inside...hydroponically looked appealing..and it's easy..set it and somewhat forget it
Hummer---because those strawb plantlets are so young and small...I would suggest that you remove all flowers and fruits from them so that they can focus on root and leaf development. That'll be tough, I know.
Its the logical thing to do,..but VERY hard to cut off your first growth,..now if you had more than one plant you could do one and compare the results.
Hee, hee, hee---I know. What I said is true though because it is best for the development of your plants. Sometimes a gardener has to be tough. Ach wel...one doesn't always have to follow the "rules". The gardening roadmap shows more than one road to Rome, right?
And here it went!! It was so good...wished I had a few more plants that I let die....there is always next year..
