Been pureeing all the peels when making smoothies and feeding it to my Papaya tree. Now I have a circle of plants poking up that look like watermelons. little watermelon plants.jpg

So these were not planted with seeds? You were using the peels in order to plant these watermelons? Why beside this tree aren't they going to take nutrients from your tree?

I was pureeing all my fruit peels including watermelon for a whole year and turning it under to feed the papaya tree. Will still be feeding the tree but will have the bonus of watermelons down the road. Will keep everyone informed how they do! watermellon uunder papaya tree1x.jpg

Haha. So they weren't watermelons, but a different melon at that. Either way they look so good to eat.
