I think this is a new hobby I may have picked up since I was last here. I've been collecting Marx trains and buildings, and set up a 12' x 4' table in the basement. It's lots of fun, and I just put away the Christmas display and got the Marx buildings back out.

My eldest lad is interested in trains too. Over here it's Hornby that seems to be the most popular make.
I love both videos but the Christmas Village is a fantastic layout with all the lights and presents!!

Wow! That's is a nice train set. I had wanted a set but they are very difficult to come by here and not to mention that they cost a bundle for just a piece.

That's quite a set up! My BIL has a train set up in his basement and it has always been a hit with the kids. If I had that during this (long, cold) winter it would have been full of tiny little gardens :snicker:

What a fun hobby. I'd be doing seasons and holidays.

That's quite a set up. I bet you have a lot of fun setting it up for Christmas too.
