    Quite a few vultures down at the lagoon over the past few days. This juvenile was among them.

    We only have vultures in zoos here and they don't look as good as the youngster in your photograph does. Those feathers are sheer perfection aren't they?

    Nice shot! We have a family of vultures down the street in a broken down old barn ... they are neat to watch.

    for such ugly birds yours looks nice. they are usually pretty scary about the head. and their personal habit of peeing down their legs to cool off is pretty ingenious but pretty disgusting. They are a great help at keeping the roadsides cleaned up from the roadwarriors who failed.

    Went to see the "Raptors" here at Duncan BC. The vultures are part of the shows they put on several times a day. Grandkids love going there to see the birds.
