Nice blooms and good success on the peppers. I do that too from store-bought peps and paps. I always enjoy seeing your displays of the plant sorts in your garden. Hope you keep that up.

Thanks Sjoerd,..i did notice over the years that you make good use of seeds that come by way of purchased produce,..when one is 'into gardening',..its very hard not to try grow a plant when a seed is placed under ones nose,..i just could not discard those seeds :),..they dried out very quickly.

My Avocado Plant is growing quite well from the school boy method of tooth picks holding the seed over a glass of water.

Introduced into the garden last season as it grows wild on walls in my area,

Centranthus ruber 'Red Valerian',..though it has several names,..Spur Valerian/ Kiss-Me-Quick/ Devils Beard/ and Jupiters Beard.

Philip it's hard to believe that you have so many beautiful flowers and I admit to being just a tad envious of what you can grow. That avocado is looking great - obviously the toothpick method really works. I love the shot you took of the Dahlia - such rich colours.

Eileen i think its the garden location,..or perhaps i am just a plant addict :),..either way i can not resist taking a cutting or trying to grow something they say can not be grown here,..at the back of my mind there is one plant that eludes me,..'Angels Trumpet',..hopefully i will grow one before my 80th Birthday,..not soon i might add but in 8 years time:whistling:.

Of late i find myself using my Camera Phone,..its easier to carry about the garden in a back pocket on a Track Suit,..as compared to the actual Camera,..the Dahlia picture above and the one below are from the phone,..as are most of the above.

Sorry to hear you were under the weather but I'm so glad you're now on the mend.
I'm so glad you didn't miss your Cobra Lily/Arisaema speciosum blooming as we get to share it in all its glory. As for your hollyhocks the bees must really enjoy having them in your garden. Your Rosa 'Handel' is gorgeous - I love the pink edged petal and the yellow centre.

Thanks Eileen,..one of those strange illnesses,..hits me once in a blue moon and knocks me for six,..always presumed it was the start of a cold or flu that was cut short,..someday i will tag it :).

I was watching out for the Ariseama to bloom and seeing it was wet weather i knew the bloom wouldn't last very long,..i happened to have it located near the back door so only had to step outside each day to check,..it had bloomed and was on the wane,..just lucky to capture it.

Lots of bees in the garden and its lovely to see them,..very few butterflies as yet,..too rainy i guess.

    Another image of Rose ( Rosa 'Handel' ),..reaches a height of 2.74m x 2.44m ( 9ft x 8ft ) fragrant rose.

    Helichrysum italicum 'Curry Bush'.

On sunny days there is a good scent of Curry,..it can be used in stews,..though there is a better bush for use in cooking.

Your 'Dorothy Walton' is a real beauty Philip. I love the colour variation in the petals. I know Ian would love to have curry plants in the garden but the house smells of curry often enough for me. I think he's addicted to curries and chillies and eats them so hot it's a wonder the top of his head doesn't blow off!!

Clematis 'Dorothy Walton',..is indeed a nice bloom,..the size of a persons hand,..its doing better so far this year than others,..enough sun and rain.

Another scent in the garden,..even stronger than the Curry Bush.

Verbascum nigrum 'Dark Mullein',..this plant self seeded last season and as a result i have about 15 of them getting taller every day,..when they grow among the Digitalis 'Foxglove',..its hard to notice the difference until they are about two foot high,..in the past some of mine were over six foot high.
