Texas flowering quince. Will make fruit that I will make jelly with this year.

Everything is just beginning to wake up here in my neck of the woods.

A marvellous array of colours Barb and they all testify to the care and attention you lavish on them. I have a red Weeping Laceleaf maple which is a real favourite of mine.

eileen, Maples are one of my hubby's favorite. He must have 30 different kinds. I keep the upright ones cut back to 5 or 6 feet. One of his all time favorites is 15 years old and only 1 foot tall. That is max for this one.... maple tree.jpg

What beautiful blooms. The Azalea is gorgeous. I have never seen one before. Thanks for sharing your flowers. It has been so cold here we don't even have a dandelion showing it's nose yet.:(

I have a beautiful crop of Dandy-lions this year. My gardens are full of them. I may dig them up and put them in a pot...Wouldn't that look wonderful placed along my walkways in my front gardens????? If you would like Chrisle, I could send you some....

I can't wait for all the Allium finish blooming. I think I have 50 of them.

Beautiful blooms, Barb. We really like Quince jelly, after straining off the juice, use the pulp to make jam that's really good too.

I passed up the chance to buy a Chaenomeles japonica 'Texas Scarlet' a few years ago, no room at the time and have been figuratively kicking myself ever since. Now that I do have a place that would be perfect so I am on the search again.

Beautiful flowers, Barb. I especially like the azalea, maples, and quince. Probably because I can't grow them with my zone and soil. Even your dandy-lions are pretty. ;)

I tried to get rid of my alliums...they spread like crazy here and I am sick of all the extra work they make for us . I looked at them this spring and thought someone had put grass seed in my bed it was so small and as it got taller I knew for sure what it was....I never realized how invasive they can be. I had the same problem with chives years ago. I love them but I am getting to the point in my life I don't want extra work....
