Chicory is blue and so are your beautiful flowers, but I think someone mislabeled them for you. those look to be forget-me-nots. Chicory has light blue flowers about an inch across. smooth stems and leaves and a tap root you have to dig out to get rid of it if it is a weed in your yard. no pulling it.

Yes, compare to Anchusa & Myosotis.

I think it is Cynoglossum amabile.

The blue is beautiful Bosque! Blue is unusual in the garden. I think Netty is right: Chinese Forget-me-not.
I agreed with Carolyn too; chicory tends to grow on the sides of roads. The flowers are very pretty, the foliage not so much. Huge tap root.

Yes! I couldn't remember the 3rd name of the "forget me not" trilogy to suggest. Of course, it's that one. LOL! TY, Netty.
