We've been here on the farm for nearly 10 years, and today my husband saw our first red fox! It ran across the road, across the front yard, and disappeared under the workshop. We are thrilled, but I'm going to check the chicken coop's barriers, just to be on the safe side.
We are seeing more wildlife, perhaps because we leave a couple of brush piles and have adequate water and cover.

Red Fox....what a beautiful creature. Not so much in my backyard but out in the countryside where you are

We have a few around the village here but they are rarely seen. We do hear their mating calls though in January.

We love having our foxes around, at least they help to keep the rats under control. Urban foxes can become quite confident with people. This was this years pair in January when they had probably mated.

Gad Raddang! I do not have words for that....I think that I would go wild if I were to get this sort of foto on my cam.
Mate... that is superb. Such lovely animals.
