Thanks it really amkes us feel good when folks appreciate our goofy efforts.
One thing not shown when ya build a new box we place the box and weed eat the grass down to the dirt. We put card board box cardboard under the box this really helps with weed control by the time the cardboard degrades the grass roots are dead. Since we were replacing a box I didnt show this but we did put cardboard on the expanded area.

CP, I grew garlic for the first time this summer & despite the drought in the NE, I got a good crop. I hope they will last well into the winter. I just planted store bought garlic cloves. This fall I went whole hog & bought seed garlic. We shall see if it makes any difference.

Good luck again with your harvest..

We got expensive garlic from a nursery mis calculated and ran out after covering half the bed. I ran to the store and bought cheap garlic and used it to plant the rest of the patch. The cheap store bought is off to a much better start and out doing the other by a long shot.

Thanks yall so far there still is an obvious difference the cheap grocery store garlic is taller and thicker with hardly no sleepers the expensive nursery ones....not so much. Pictures will come with or next garden update now we are starting the holiday rush. Today Santa plans on passing out some Christmas cards in his rusty ole sleigh. DSC00402.JPG
