    Great foto Jane. You guys were so lucky to have had them as visitors there this winter. My
    uncle had an ancient oak tree on his property and it had a rotten bit with a great hole in it. When I was a child the owls brooded in that tree and slept in it as well during the summer months. I can recall when I was a little kooter that I was always mystified by them and their sounds....and if I was there at night, it was even more mysterious. The oak tree was right next to his house and so the sounds were quite loud.
    Your thread took me right back to those exciting childhood days. Cheers mate.

    BTW---I would be remiss if I did not give credit where credit is due, so please extend my congratulations to your worthy husband. Chapeau.
