Pileated woodpecker comes back.

    I love to have birds returning to my garden too. I get a bit worried if they are later than expected and find myself looking for them each day.

    These birds always shock me with their size. With all your good treats I am surprised the pileated woodpeckers have been missing in action. Do they have a very big range? Lovely photo as always:smt023

    YIPPY! That is just to neat. We have them visit our feeders quite often. They are such majestic woodpeckers. Here is a pic of the one that visits our feeders. Such a blessing to have them around.
    I noticed that yours have quite a bit more white on them.
