Gosh you're doing so well with germinating your seeds. I love to see how they are getting on and look forward to more updates soon.

Wish I had your talent lione. I am useless at germinating tropical seed.
Did those seeds need a lot of heat? Thats my problem here no cistern.
    Well done!
I love my Abies Kirana Pine.

treat any tree (baby) in a pot like it was bonsai. It'll live longer.

Thanks Kate. It is luck mixed with perseverance with some digging in the net. Here is the progress of the seedling. It really looks helthy, I hope I can take care of it:

I have made a second batch of seeds (on 17 May 2016), here is what I did exactly (This is for you kate ;) ):
1- I soaked the seeds (with their hard shell) in water and put them in the fridge (not the freezer!) for 24h.
2- I tried to un-shell them with my hand; very few were relatively easy to open, the other I tried with a cracker but with extreme care as I could crack the nut and ruin it.
3- to test rate of germination, I left few un-shelled.
4- The shelled seeds started to germinate in just 6 days (on 23 May 2016)!. I believe to get the best and fast germination, one should carefully un-shell the seeds.

Good luck to all and please post your experiments so that all can benefit.
