Hello all, hopefully im doing this right!
A few day's ago i purchased a Honeysuckle, on sale at Home Depot.
The tag say's to plant it North East. This will be a little problem.Have lots of room on the west side. Will this side be a problem?
    Thank you for any response,
    SandyJ

I don't know what the tag was referring to, which variety of Honeysuckle do you have? Sounds like if you go with specific information for the Honeysuckle variety that you have it will work out better.

The people across the alley from me have a honeysuckle on their back fence which gets all day west sun and it is doing great.

Sandy I have various honeysuckles in my garden here in Scotland and all grow well. It dropped to -20°C during last winter but all are showing signs of new growth. I don't think you should have a problem planting yours on the west side of your garden.

In my experience honeysuckles are very easy to grow, and will enjoy almost any location except for all-day shade. One of ours only get sunlight from the west, and it does fine.

Thank you all for the information on Honeysuckle..
I was having computer issues and was unable to respond...
Toni the tag is gone! More than likely a neighbor needed it to buy one.....
My understanding is they can be invasive.. My thought is keeping it cut back and check the root system, yes/no?
    Thanks all
    SandyJ

They can be really invasive around here and I think it's pretty similar to your South Jersey climate (BTW I love South Jersey...have a dear friend in Margate). They spread by way of the tendrils, as well as by sending up new baby plants up to a few feet away from the parent. I have to go on honeysuckle patrol every week to keep it under control. Actually, I'm patrolling my neighbor's very old honeysuckle on a shared fence. So yeah, watch and see. It sure does have a sweet smelling blossom so I hope you enjoy it.

Hi DaisyBeans, Love your name ,, By the wany also love Annapolis. It's lucky for me showing dogs!
S.Jersey is a nice area. Summers can be dreadful many tourists.
I'll watch the Honeysuckle carefully. I'm told it can choke out other plants..Not good as i have a "Rose Memory Garden"My neighbor would like it to grow on his fence, sounds good to me now.
    Thanks for the comeback..
    Sandy
