    As always, a great photo. Great Blues are "poetry in motion" in flight, but their call is something less than poetic!

    Yes that is a great pic. In upper Wisconsin we have a natural Blue Heron rookery. We have visited it several times. Talk about noise and racket. Wouldn't want them in my backyard. But they are such beautiful birds. :stew1:

    Excellent shot. I never tire of seeing photographs of herons as the are just such charismatic birds.

    Totally agree. Amazing huge birds and the sound of the flying...unbelievable...just like your photos :stew1:

    Beautiful Shot of the Blue Heron...I see them a lot in our area and I agree with Tooty2shoes, they are noisy.

    Nice photo. We see them occasionally and the neighbor puts a fake one in her koi pond to keep the real ones out. they have cleaned out her pond before that.

    As usual, Kildale, your picture is perfect. I knew you on a different forum that has since closed. In fact you sent me a card with a picture of an eagle on it that I still have. I'm glad to see your are still taking such beautiful photographs.
