Purple and white flowers, any ideas what this is?

    This was growing at one of the campgrounds we recently stayed at. It had just started blooming. And I took this pic on 9 Oct. Hope someone knows what it is! Cause I want to get one!

    I'd say it looks a lot like a common Malva, Malva sylvestris.

    Droopy is absolutely right. If you want to get malva sylvestris, be careful as it is highly invasive. It self-seeds all over. Thompson and Morgan carries the seed of Zebrina, a variety adapted to the home garden (but still invasive!).

    Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina' (Dwarf Hollyhock)

    I have had this in my yard for several years and from the first generation I got dozens of seedlings but each year after that there have been fewer and fewer seedlings. So now it is very little problem. But they are easy to pull up or better yet pot up and give them away. They would be great if you have a large area where you can just leave them to do their thing. ;)
