Hi, I just want to know a bit more information about saffron seeds. I would like to grow then but do not have a clue on when they need to be planted?
I have looked on the internet but it keeps coming up with saffron bulbs and I don't have them just the seeds.
    Thank you :)

From what I have read they do not produce viable seeds so you might not get any growth from them at all. But you can put them in the ground when it warms up and see what happens.
The seeds produced by bulb/corm plants usually take several years to mature and produce a bloom.

If you can find the corms you will have blooms in Fall if your summers are long and dry. They do not like moisture so make sure you plant them in well draining soil.
